He reported Brian Beeman was recently promoted from Business <br />Development Coordinator to Assistant City Administrator. He explained the City has high hopes <br />for Mr. Beeman in his new position. He indicated the Human Resources Committee reviewed <br />this matter and recommended Mr. Beeman be raised to Step 4 and would require a $9,500 budget <br />adjustment. <br /> <br />Council Member Gunn read through one of the City’s strategic policies noting the Council was <br />working to maintain and retain its excellent employees. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9072, <br />Approving Wage Adjustment for Assistant City Administrator Beeman. <br /> <br />Council Member Bergeron stated he believed Mounds View stands out because it has the ability <br />to maintain and retain its excellent staff members. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause noted Assistant City Administrator Beeman would continue his <br />role as the City’s Business Coordinator and thanked him for sharing his broad work experience <br />with the community. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />E. Resolution 9074, Authorizing the Purchase of Security Cameras for the <br />Public Works Building. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Peterson requested the Council authorize the purchase of security cameras <br />for the Public Works building. He noted the expense would be $7,500. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Bergeron/Meehlhause. Resolution 9073, Accepting Improvements and Approving Final Payment for <br />the 2018 Greenfield and Groveland Tennis and Basketball Court <br />Rehabilitation Project. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Peterson requested the Council accept improvements and approve the <br />final payment for the 2018 Greenfield and Groveland tennis and basketball court rehabilitation <br />project. He explained Bituminous Roadways had this project substantially completed on <br />September 30th. It was noted the bid had one adjustment to increase the width of the gate. The <br />overall price for the contract was $207,408. Staff recommended approval of the final payment <br />for this project. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller stated the painting and striping had been completed at Groveland Park when the <br />weather was quite cold.
