Item 05B <br />Page 2 of 4 <br />RESOLUTION 9325 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESTOA <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A FAIR HOUSING POLICY <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Livable Communities Act (LCA) was established by the <br />Minnesota Legislature in 1995 (MN Statute §473.25) to incentivize the creation and preservation <br />of living wage jobs, affordable housing, and implementation of compact and efficient <br />development. The LCA program is administered by the Metropolitan Council using adopted <br />policies and guidelines; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council offers four types of grants to communities <br />participating in the Local Housing Incentives Account Program. Such grants include; <br />Livable Communities Demonstration Account (LCDA) <br />Local Housing Incentives Account (LHIA) <br />Tax Base Revitalization Account (TBRA) <br />Transit Oriented Development (TOD) <br />WHEREAS, to participate in the LCDA program, communities must adopt a Fair <br />Housing Policy (Exhibit A); and, <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council hereby <br />adopts a Fair Housing Policy. <br />Adopted this 26th day of October, 2020 <br />Carol A.
