They also feltit should allow for changes to be made withoutdetailed <br />having <br />to amend the charter. The present Chapter 6 was thought to be too tate the guidelines <br />and explicit. It was suggested that the charter could sooperation. Cooperation <br />ers <br />and mandateia areas of cservices and opewould <br />rational activities swhere �bothagthe <br />explained, <br />county and the cities overlap. One city manager would like to see the cities <br />actively involved in what the county is doing at all times. The managers did <br />mentioned that the county and the cities are alreadfs workingtwell.ing some <br />areas, such as streets and capital improvements, <br />whichovide for a planning <br />City managers felt strongly that the charter should not pr <br />committee. Transportation <br />1. Law Enforcement <br />7, Emergency Services <br />7. Human Services a nienatching <br />3. Parks 6 Open Space 9. Bomb Squads <br />4. Canine Systems <br />is 5. Major Crime Investigations <br />The basic law enforcement, they felt, could be handled on the local level; but <br />on a county -wide basis could be quite effective. <br />more expanded services <br />Uniform planning in the above areas would avoid duplication and better use of <br />public funds. <br />
