City of Mounds View 12040 Comprehensive Plan <br />DRAFT November 26, 2019 <br />• Demanding high quality design to ensure compatibility between <br />residential and commercial uses. <br />• Creating attractive, community -oriented development that positively <br />reflects on the identity and quality of life of Mounds View. <br />The City has conducted various studies5 and plans6 of the Boulevard corridor. <br />Such plans have presented ideal vision but challenges to redevelopment <br />remain. The Mixed -Use designation provides the flexibility to consider <br />opportunities, without needing to amend the Comprehensive Plan. <br />FUTURE LAND USE MAP <br />The 2040 future land use plan for Mounds View is shown by net acreage and <br />percentage of the whole in Table 2-2. On the following page, Figure 2-2 shows <br />the distribution of those categories across the city. <br />Over the decades, the land use category definitions have evolved.
