• Community forestry — conduct inventory, management plan with strategies for maintaining trees and <br />encouraging diversity, mention in plan if strategies have been undertaken Skipped for now. If the City has <br />undertaken any forestry planning or tree inventory, we should mention this in the Plan. <br />• Native species support — develop policies for developers to use native plant species. List of places to <br />incorporate guidelines provided. Skipped, could add language to goal 5 on page 4-2 if the City would like <br />to be more specific with their pollinator policies. <br />• Development and transportation policies to protect wildlife — list of guidelines provided Skipped. These <br />City does not have goals in the Land Use or Transportation chapter to which these policies could be <br />easily added. If the City would like to highlight the protection of wildlife, information could potentially be <br />added to the natural resources section on page 2-18 of the Land Use Chapter. <br />• Include supplied paragraph on groundwater management Groundwater Management paragraph included <br />on page 6-3 of the Plan in the Water Resources Chapter. <br />Blaine — no comment (appreciates stance on airport) <br />MNDOT — no comment <br />Other changes made to the plan to address general comments from Metropolitan Council to other communities: <br />Housing: Added Housing Tools on page 3-9 and Housing Implementation Plan on page 3-10.
