Item No 7B <br />Meeting Date: January 23, 2021 <br />Type of Business: EDA <br />Administrator Review : ____ <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />To: EDA President and Commissioners <br />From: Brian Beeman, Assistant City Administrator <br />Item Title/Subject: Confirm EDC Chair & Vice Chair Appointments <br />Introduction: <br />As per Section 408.07 of the Mounds View City Code it specifies that the EDC shall appoint a <br />chairperson and a vice chairperson from among its voting members and such appointments shall be <br />subject to EDA approval. The Chair may not serve more than two consecutive one year terms and <br />the Vice Chair may serve unlimited consecutive terms. <br />Discussion: <br />On January 21, 2021 the EDC appointed Jim Freichels as the EDC Chair and Dan Larson as the <br />Vice Chair. <br />Recommendation: <br />Consistent with City Code, staff recommends that the EDA make a motion confirming the EDC <br />appointments for Chair and Vice Chair. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />________________________ <br />Brian Beeman <br />Assistant City Administrator <br />Attachments: <br />1)None
