RESOULTUION 9397 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A DEVELOPMENT REVIEW FOR MIDWEST MOTOR <br />EXPRESS, 2169 MUSTANG DRIVE (Planning Case DE2021-001) <br />WHEREAS, the applicant; Tyler Johnson; Midwest Motor Express (MME), representing <br />property owner; Store Capital Acquisitions, LLC, is requesting approval of a Development <br />Review for a 8,891 square foot building addition, and parking lot addition, on property located at <br />2169 Mustang Drive, legally described as: <br />PID: 17-30-23-14-0007 <br />The East 464.815 feet of Lot 3, Block 1, <br />Mounds View Industrial Park, Ramsey County, Minnesota <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Municipal Code, Section 1006.06, Subd 2 (Application <br />of Development Controls) states that: [A]ll new construction and expansions of existing <br />construction shall be reviewed by the Planning and Zoning Commission and approved by the <br />City Council as conforming to this Section, except as follows: <br />c.Construction activity that increases the gross square footage of the principal building <br />by less than ten percent (I 0%), provided the area of expansion does not exceed ten <br />thousand ( I 0, 000) square feet. <br />WHEREAS, the proposed building addition is 9,000 square feet, expanding the primary <br />building from 28,899 sq ft, to 37,790 sq ft (24% addition), requiring a Development Review; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, the applicant submitted plans including; <br />Survey, dated Nov 11, 2020 <br />Site Plan, dated Jan 14, 2021 <br />Landscape plan, dated Jan 14, 2021 <br />Building Foundation, and Elevation plans, dated Jan 3, 2021 <br />Such plans were distributed to applicable City Staff and agencies for review; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Planning and Zoning Commission reviewed the <br />application on February 3, 2021, and recommended approval (Resolution 1129-21).
