Exhibit B <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />POSITION DESCRIPTION <br />Position Title: <br />Event Center Host <br />Department: <br />Parks and Recreation <br />Accountable to: <br />Director of Public Works/Parks and Recreation <br />Status: <br />Non -Exempt Part -Time <br />PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITON <br />The Event Center Host is responsible to monitor guests who have rented facilities within the <br />Community Center. They ensure the event runs smoothly, welcoming guests, answering <br />questions, and working as a liaison between client, support staff, and vendors. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the general guidance and direction of the Parks and Recreation Superintendent. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />None. <br />ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES <br />• Assist with set up for many types of events, including but not limited to: banquets, birthday <br />parties, weddings, conferences, retreats, meetings, seminars, trainings, etc. <br />• Interact with event attendees, making them feel welcome and answers questions when <br />needed. <br />• Respond to client requests. <br />• Monitor vendor schedules, ensuring they meet attendance requirements (deadlines). <br />• Assure venue does not exceed capacity. <br />• Assure venue is vacated at the proper time. <br />• Assist with cleaning during and ensures cleaning is underway at the conclusion of the event. <br />• Return equipment and supplies to proper location. <br />MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS <br />• One year customer service experience. <br />• Willing to work nights and weekends. <br />• High school diploma/GED. <br />• Have the desire to work with the public. <br />o Be available to work a part-time schedule of up to 20 hours per week. <br />• First Aid certified or willing to become certified within 30 days of hire. <br />• Willing to work with people of diverse backgrounds. <br />NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES <br />• Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail. <br />• Ability to multi -task and meet deadlines. <br />• Ability to work a flexible schedule which includes evenings and weekends. <br />• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. <br />• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. <br />• Ability to work with recreation software. <br />• Ability to work with audio visual equipment. <br />TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED <br />Computer, equipment carts, ladder and custodial equipment. Audio visual equipment. <br />
