RESOLUTION 9406 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF AN INTRUSION ALARM SYSTEM <br />FOR THE MOUNDS VIEW COMMUNITY CENTER <br />WHEREAS, the Public Works Department is responsible for the building <br />maintenance at all City facilities, this includes the fire alarm and intrusion alarm systems <br />at the Community Center; and <br />WHEREAS, during the annual fire alarm testing and maintenance, it was <br />discovered that the fire alarm panel and the intrusion systems were not functioning <br />correctly; they were tied together and the panel is obsolete; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff has received a proposal to replace the intrusion alarm system <br />and controls from Pro -Tech Design for $15,471.82. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. Approves the proposal from Pro -Tech and Design of Minnetonka, MN to <br />replace the Intrusion Alarm System at the Mounds View Community Center at <br />a cost of $15,471.82 to be funded from Special Projects, 480-4160-3030. <br />2. The Director of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to execute all <br />appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by this <br />resolution. <br />3. The Mayor and City Administrator, Staff and consultants are hereby authorized <br />and directed to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary or <br />convenient in order to accomplish the intent of this Resolution. <br />Adopted this 8t" day of March, 2021 <br />Carol A.
