RESOLUTION NO. 9407 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY <br />OF MOUNDS VIEW AND THE PUBLIC WORKS COLLECTIVE BARGAINING UNIT TO <br />REMOVE THE COMMUNITY CENTER CUSTODIAN POSITION FROM THE PUBLIC WORKS <br />COLLECTIVE BARGINING UNIT LABOR AGREEMENT <br />WHEREAS, This Memorandum of Understanding is made between the Public <br />Works Collective Bargaining Unit ("Union") and the City of Mounds View ("City.") <br />WHEREAS, on October 12, 2020, the City Council approved the City operating a <br />Parks and Recreation Department at the Mounds View Community Center; and <br />WHEREAS, during this time period a Public Works Maintenance Worker retired <br />and the Community Center Custodian applied and received the promotion to fill the <br />vacant position; and <br />WHEREAS, when the position of Community Center Custodian is filled, the City <br />is requesting to remove the position from the Labor Agreement and have the position <br />report to the Parks and Recreation Superintendent; and <br />WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Superintendent has direct supervisory <br />responsibilities for Part Time Custodians at the Community Center; and <br />WHEREAS, the City and Union have agreed to amend the Labor Agreement for <br />its remaining term pursuant to the terms and conditions as outlined herein. <br />NOW THEREFORE, the City and Union agree as follows: <br />The Public Works Community Center Custodian position will be removed from <br />Article 28 of the January 1, 2020 — December 31, 2022 Labor Agreement and the <br />position will no longer be included in the Public Works Collective Bargaining Unit. <br />Adopted this 8t" day of March, 2021. <br />Carol A.
