Staff has also meet <br />with other Cities and organizations for collaborating in programs and activities. COVID-19 had major <br />impacts at the Community Center, canceling events and programs in the Event Center, Park Building <br />Rentals and Park Rentals. <br />Personnel <br />• Reviewed the Job Description and Hired the Parks and Recreation Superintendent <br />• Reviewed the Job Description and Hired the Recreation Coordinator <br />• Reviewed the Job Description and Hired the Event Center Manager/ Recreation Coordinator <br />• Reviewed the Job Descriptions for the Front Counter Staff and Hired Personnel <br />• Hired Ice Rink Warming House Attendants <br />Programs <br />• Meet with Quincy House for Partnership on teen/young adult programing <br />• Meet with the City of New Brighton on Partnering on Recreation Programs <br />• Meet with Spring Lake Park in Partnering on Recreation and Senior Programs <br />• Meet with other groups and individuals on partnering with the Parks and Recreation Department <br />The Community Center much like other businesses was greatly impacted by COVID -19 and the <br />Governor's executive orders to help stop or slow the spread of the pandemic. Like other businesses The <br />Community Center was greatly impacted, resulting in canceling 90 events in the Event Center, gym rentals <br />and park rentals. Most field rentals were also cancelled and the Community Center was closed for public <br />use for 181 days. <br />The Event Center loss over $155,000 as compared to 2019 and Park Rentals both the buildings and fields <br />lost over $7,000 as compared to 2019, (see tables next page). <br />At the beginning of the Pandemic the YMCA was able to provide child care to essential employees in the <br />community, and distance learning assistance to youth in the community. <br />The Mounds View Vision <br />A Thriving Desirable Community <br />
