The City Engineering Technician was the primary inspector and oversaw the entire project with <br />some minor assistance from Stantec. <br />• Stantec: Construction Phase for 2020 Street & Utility Improvement Project— Quincy Street total project <br />cost of $1,093,202. Project is not closed out and punch list items only left. <br />City Council and Advisory Groups <br />• 12 City Council staff reports and 11 resolutions <br />• 5 Park & Rec. & Forestry Cmsn. meetings <br />• 1 YMCA Advisory Group meeting (Feb.) <br />Miscellaneous <br />• Pavement Management Program <br />• Capital Improvement Program <br />• Park Improvement Program <br />• Approx. 1,250+ phone calls (A/E only) <br />Capital Improvement Projects <br />2020 Street Improvement Project — Quincy Street r. <br />Public Works coordinated inspected the street project. The <br />contractor the final design and bidding phases with some help from <br />the City's consultant, Stantec. Bidding documents were approved <br />in February and a bid opening occurred on February 27, 2020. bid; <br />proposals were received that ranged from $1,169,8950.78 to <br />$1,314,370.46 with the low bid awarded to T.A. Shifsky & Sons of North St. Paul, Minnesota. The project <br />was substantially completed by October of 2020 with only punch list items that remained, unfortunately <br />the contactor was affected by the pandemic and a number of employees had COVID -19. This resulted in <br />the finale punch list items not being completed and will be in the spring of 2021. <br />2020 Water Treatment Plant and Facilities Reconditioning Project. <br />The Engineering, research and testing work for reconditioning the water treatment plants 1, 2 and 3 was <br />completed. Bidding documents were approved and the contract was awarded at the March 25, 2020, City <br />Council Meeting occurred. Proposals were received that ranged from $573,600.00 to 645,500.00, with the <br />low bid awarded to Shank Constructors of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. The project is currently in progress <br />with Water Treatment Plant #3 and the Booster Station neat completion and work well under way at Water <br />Treatment Plant #2. <br />A pilot study was completed at Water Treatment Plant #1, based on these results AE2S completed the <br />plans and specs for Water Treatment Plant #1 or phase II of the Water Rehabilitation Project. Plans will <br />be out to bid in the first quarter of 2021. The rehabilitation of Water Treatment Plant #1 is anticipated to <br />start in the fall of 2021 and scheduled to be completed late spring of 2022. <br />Street Maintenance <br />Street Maintenance or seal coating was completed on another 4.74 miles of streets, along with crack <br />sealing and patching of various roads. <br />The Mounds View Visior. <br />A Thriving Desirable Comintwity <br />
