RESOLUTION NO. 9398 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING JOE FLAHERTY AS THE MOUNDS VIEW COMMUNITY <br />REPRESENTATIVE ON THE SPRING LAKE FIRE DEPARTMENT INC. BOARD OF <br />DIRECTORS <br />WHEREAS, The Spring Lake Park — Blaine — Mounds View Fire Department is a <br />Not -for -Profit Fire Corporation that provides protection and services to the City of <br />Mounds View; and <br />WHEREAS, the Corporation is managed by a Board of Directors that includes <br />five community representatives from the three cities and Mounds View nominated one <br />of those five; <br />WHEREAS, fire protection services are one of the core functions a city provides <br />and ensuring a well -managed and efficient fire service is critical to community; and <br />WHEREAS, Joe Flaherty, former Mayor and employed in a senior business <br />position in his private life brings a unique and valued combination of business operation <br />and public operation; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Flaherty is nearing end of his term, is eligble to serve a second <br />term and has expressed a desire to do so; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />approves Resolution 9398 nominating Joe Flaherty, to fill a second term as the Mounds <br />View Representative to the Spring Lake Park — Blaine — Mounds View Fire Department <br />Board of Directors; <br />Adopted this 22nd day of February, 2021. <br />Carol A.
