RESOLUTION NO. 9418 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE END OF THE EXTENSION OF SICK <br />LEAVE BALANCES FOR COVID-19 RELATED ABSENCES <br />EFFECTIVE 11:59 P.M., APRIL 30, 2021 <br />WHEREAS, Council approved Resolution 9376 during the January 11, 2021 <br />Council Meeting, authorizing the Public Works Bargaining Unit employees and First <br />Responders, who tested positive or were exposed to the COVID-19 virus, to receive paid <br />sick time if approved by the City Administrator; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff is recommending Resolution 9376 be eliminated effective as of <br />11:59 p.m. April 30, 2021, as there is an abundance of the Coronavirus Vaccine available <br />to First Responders and the public at this time; and <br />WHEREAS, Effective May 1, 2021, employees needing to take time off due to <br />COVID-19 related absences will need to use their sick leave balances or other <br />accumulated time; and <br />WHEREAS, Employees will continue to follow the City's COVID-19 Preparedness <br />Plan. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council <br />Authorizes the End of the Extension of Sick Leave Balances for COVID-19 Related <br />Absences Effective 11:59 P.M., April 30, 2021. <br />Adopted this 12th day of April, 2021. <br />Carol A.
