RESOLUTION NO. 9417 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE HIRE OF RENE MONTERO <br />TO THE POSITION OF FACILITIES MAINTENANCE <br />WHEREAS, upon direction from the Mounds View City Council the Facilities Maintenance <br />position was advertised; and, <br />WHEREAS, three (3) applications were received and all were invited to interview for the <br />position; and, <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Montero's skills and experience were determined to most closely match <br />the duties and responsibilities as outlined in the job description; and, <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Montero's BCA background was successfully completed, with the hiring <br />assessment pending, scheduled for the week of April 19t"; and, <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Montero will begin at Step 1 of the 2021 pay plan or $18.97 per hour; <br />and, <br />2020 Hourl Wa e Schedule: <br />Step 1 <br />Step 1.5 ::IStep <br />2 <br />Step 3 <br />Step 4 <br />Ste 5 <br />$18.97 <br />$19.56 <br />1 $20.15 <br />$21.34 <br />22.52 <br />J$23.71 <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Montero would begin employment on or around Wednesday, April 211t <br />and after staff receives a satisfactory result from the hiring assessment; and, <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Montero would be subject to a six (6) month probationary period and <br />eligible for a wage increase to Step 1.5 of the City's pay plan. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council does hereby <br />approve the hire of Rene Montero to the position of Facilities Maintenance, at Step 1 of the pay <br />plan (currently $18.97/hour) and with employment to commence on or around Wednesday, April <br />21, 2021, pending the results of the hiring assessment. <br />Adopted this 12t" day of April, 2021. <br />LAI <br />Carol A.
