Mounds View City Council May 10, 2021 <br />Regular Meeting Page 5 <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller stated on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 the Festival in the Park Committee would be <br />meeting. She encouraged those interested in volunteering to consider attending via Zoom. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller reported on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 she would be attending the North Metro <br />Mayors meeting and on Thursday, May 20, 2021 she would be attending the Ramsey County <br />League of Local Government Task Force meeting where mental health assistance would be <br />discussed. She stated on Friday, May 21, 2021 she would be attending the Minnesota Women in <br />City Government Board meeting. <br /> <br /> B. Reports of Staff. <br /> 1. City Administrator Zikmund <br /> <br />Finance Director Beer discussed the 1st quarter financial report and noted he would be attending <br />several webinars that would address how ARP funds can be spent by the City. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Beeman reported on Monday, May 24, 2021 MWF would have an <br />update on their project for the City Council. <br /> <br /> a. Food Truck Regulation <br /> <br />City Administrator Zikmund provided the Council with an update on the proposed regulations the <br />City would be putting in place for food trucks. The Council supported the proposed regulations <br />and directed staff to bring this forward as an Ordinance. <br /> <br /> b. Set Date for Joint Meeting with Charter Commission <br /> <br />City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council select a date to hold a joint meeting with the <br />Charter Commission. The Council recommended the joint meeting be held on Tuesday, June 22, <br />2021 at the Community Center at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Further discussion ensued regarding the options available to the Council for future levy limits. The <br />Council requested staff present all of the levy limit options at the joint meeting. <br /> <br /> c. HR Item <br /> <br />City Administrator Zikmund stated the City had two newer employees that work as police support <br />staff. He explained these two individuals did not have the option of working from home, nor did <br />they get time off during the pandemic. Staff was recommending these two individuals be granted <br />one extra week of vacation in 2021. He stated this could be done by a Council motion. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Bergeron. To Grant One Extra Week of Vacation to the Police <br />Support Staff Members Hanna Kenow and Alexis Bostrom. <br /> <br />A roll call vote was taken. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried.
