Public Works Staff Report <br />Greenfield Park: <br />• Notified by the DNR that corrections to be made to the tennis court gate entrance — ADA <br />accessible. Fencing contractor scheduled for next month Leveled the trail running in the <br />back portion of the Park, added class 5 as needed. <br />• Commission will need to discuss at the August 2020, Green field baseball field. Take out <br />all turf from first and third base line and replace with Ag-lime to the fence. Most all new <br />park construction is going this way with ball fields. This would solve the wet home plate <br />issue and uneven base line issues. <br />• Building has been re -roofed <br />Hillview Park: <br />■ Commission will need to discuss at the August 2020, playground Rehabilitation. <br />■ Furnace at Park Shelter has been replaced — condensing still needs to be installed. <br />Lambert Park <br />• Inventory of Hockey Rink boards to re -place started. <br />• Commission will need to discuss at the August 2020 Meeting size of the Hockey Rink. <br />Random Park: <br />■ Commission will need to discuss at the August 2020, playground Rehabilitation <br />Silver View Park <br />• Ramsey County continues to work in re -profiling the draining ditch along County Road I <br />and Silver View Road, located in Silver View Park. <br />• Four new pond aerators installed in the Storm Water Pond <br />Woodcrest Park <br />■ Working with Stantec Engineering and Ramsey County on some drainage issues in the <br />Park. Application to perform some storm water pond maintenance was submitted top <br />RCWD. <br />• Met with contractor —work will be scheduled for this winter— postponed <br />Students for Climate Awareness <br />SFCA is a club made up of 18 members that all wish for a more sustainable and habitable planet. Our hope <br />for this club is to make tiny differences that have a huge impact on what our planet's future will look like. <br />We hope to meet with Native Tribes about their views on what land conservation and climate justice looks <br />like, to make our own school and community more green and eco-friendly, to work with grassroots <br />organizations in Minnesota, and to encourage our government representatives to make the correct <br />decisions. <br />The club is Staff is working with this club on Arbor Day planting of trees in City Parks, 250 Red Pine Trees <br />were donated to the club to plant. <br />Staff will be meeting with the Club and looking at future projects <br />2 1 P a g e <br />
