Item 05B <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />The Mounds View Vision <br />A Thriving Desirable Community <br />Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends approval of Resolution 1132-21. <br />When considering the Ordinance, the Commission should carefully consider every nuisance factor that <br />could be associated with a home business primarily operating from a garage, vs. inside the home. The <br />City has had minimal complaints regarding Home Occupations, most related to parking, and noise. <br />These types of complaints are not unique to Home Occupations, and can just as easily be attributed to <br />residents who are hobbyist (e.g. using the garage to restore a classic car for personal use, vs. auto repair <br />business). <br />Respectfully, <br />Jon Sevald, AICP <br />Community Development Director <br />ATTACHED <br />Resolution 1132-21
