Item 05A; Res 1134-21 <br />Attachment 1 <br />Page 3 of 3 <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br />Rules Chapter 7030, as amended; (iii) the 120-square-foot threshold in section 1106.03, subd. <br />1(b) of the current code related to accessory building separation requirements in the R-1 district <br />is proposed to be modified to a 200-square-foot threshold; (iv) the one-person threshold for <br />boarding or renting of rooms as an allowed accessory use in the R-1 district, contained in section <br />1106.03, subd. 6 of the current code, is proposed to be increased to a two-person threshold; and <br />(v) the illustrations related to accessory dwelling units in the R-1 district, contained in sections <br />1106.03 and 1106.04 of the current code, are proposed to be replaced with revised illustrations <br />to better depict the code requirements. <br /> <br />14. The city’s fire regulations are proposed to be updated to add the following definition for “limiting <br />access” in regard to ignition devices: “Limiting access means placing ignition devices behind <br />sales counters out of reach of children or for items used for cooking or work placing on the top <br />shelf of the display rack.” <br /> <br />15. The city’s sign regulations are proposed to be revised to be consistent with state law and the non- <br />commercial sign language in Minnesota Statutes, section 211B.045, which apply statewide. <br /> <br />16. The tables contained in the Code are proposed to be updated to include all special ordinances <br />that are not otherwise codified in their entirety, e.g. house and building number changes, street <br />name changes and vacation, and rezonings.
