Resolution 9441, Recognition of Sherry Gunn. <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated at the last City Council meeting the Council failed to make a <br />motion to adopt a Resolution recognizing Sherry Gunn. He stated it would be his honor to move <br />this Resolution for approval. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Bergeron. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9441, <br />Recognition of Sherry Gunn. <br />Ayes — 5 Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />6. PUBLIC COMMENT <br />None. <br />7. SPECIAL ORDER OF BUSINESS <br />A. Al Stauffacher — Twin Cities Gateway <br />Al Stauffacher, Twin Cities Gateway, provided the Council with an update from his organization. <br />He commended the City on its new splash pad. He discussed the events occurring in the <br />community. He reported that while the area had a large number of soccer fields and hockey rinks, <br />there was a growing need for basketball and volleyball courts. <br />Mayor Mueller stated she would be interested in staff speaking further with Mr. Stauffacher about <br />a basketball/volleyball facility in Mounds View. <br />Council Member Meehlhause discussed how increased use at the Community Center would assist <br />in taking pressure of the General Fund budget. <br />Council Member Bergeron agreed this would have financial ramifications on Mounds View <br />residents. <br />
