RESOLUTION NO. 9446 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A PREMISES PERMIT FOR LAKE REGION YOUTH <br />HOCKEY ASSOCIATION TO CONDUCT CHARITABLE GAMBLING AT MERMAID <br />EVENT & ENTERTAINMENT CENTER, 2200 MOUNDS VIEW BOULEVARD <br />WHEREAS, Lake Region Youth Hockey Association has requested Council <br />approval for a premises permit to conduct charitable gambling at Mermaid Event & <br />Entertainment Center; and <br />WHEREAS, the Gambling Control Board requires that the local unit of government <br />pass a resolution specifically approving or denying a request to conduct charitable <br />gambling; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lake Region Youth hockey Association must maintain compliance <br />with all requirements of the Mounds View City Code, Chapter 111, with regard to <br />charitable gambling regulations; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lake Region Youth Hockey Association shall file a report to the <br />City of Mounds View on an annual basis proving compliance with the trade area spending <br />requirements specified in City Code, <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Mounds View to assist in the economic <br />prosperity of local business owners. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council does <br />hereby approve a premises permit for the Lake Region Youth Hockey Association to <br />conduct charitable gambling at Mermaid Event & Entertainment Center, 2200 Mounds <br />View Boulevard in the City of Mounds View. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this permit may be revoked, or suspended, for <br />a violation by Lake Region Youth Hockey Association of any state statute, state rule, or <br />City ordinance relating to gambling. <br />Adopted this 26th July, 2021 <br />ATTEST: <br />(SEAL) <br />The ws: <br />Carol A.
