Res 1132-21 <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />facilities which are operated for the enjoyment and convenience of the residents of <br />the principal use and their guests. Such facilities shall be set back five feet (5') or <br />more from a property line, except swimming pools, which shall be set back ten feet <br />(10') or more from a property line. (Ord. 664, 8-14-00) City of Mounds View <br />1106.03 1106.03 <br />Subd. 6-.5. Boarding: Boarding or renting of rooms to not more than two 2 <br />roomers or boarders. <br />Subd. 7-. 6. Other Uses: Other allowed uses incidental to the dwelling unit, including but not <br />limited to: clothes lines and poles; lawn and garden ornaments and other <br />landscaping features; and pet house, facility or kennel. A pet house, facility or <br />kennel shall be set back five feet (5') or more from a property line. (1988 Code <br />§40.10) (Ord. 664, 8-14-00) <br />Subd. 8-.7. Solar Energy Sources and Systems and Geothermal Energy Sources and Systems <br />as regulated by Chapter 1128 of this Title. <br />Subd. 9-.8. Columbarium as an accessory use to a religious institution; subject to the following <br />conditions: <br />a. The religious institution must own the property on which the columbarium is <br />placed. <br />b. The exterior of the columbaria must be stone, brick, bronze, stainless steel or <br />aluminum. <br />c. The combined square footage of all accessory buildings, including columbaria, <br />shall not exceed 1,800 square feet. <br />d. Columbaria shall only be placed in a side yard or rear yard area. <br />e. Columbaria shall have a minimum side yard and rear yard setback of five (5) feet. <br />f. Columbaria height shall not exceed eighteen (18') feet or that of the principal <br />structure, whichever is less. <br />g. If the religious institution ceases operation, all urns and remains must be removed <br />from the property within three (3) months. <br />SECTION 2. In accordance with Section 3.07 of the City Charter, City staff shall have the <br />following summary printed in the official City newspaper in lieu of the complete ordinance: <br />On April 12, 2021, the City Council adopted Ordinance 975 that amends Chapter 1106 of <br />the Mounds View City Code, relating to Permitted Accessory Uses within the R-1 Single - <br />Family Residential district. <br />
