Mounds View Planning Commission June 16, 2021 <br />Regular Meeting Page 3 <br />________________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br />change. It was noted the City Hall sign changes every five seconds and noted the minimum <br />should be eight seconds. He commented he could not find anything regarding ADA standards <br />for digital display signs. He reported the City does not allow any flashing signs or signs that <br />emulate emergency vehicles. <br /> <br />Commissioner Monn questioned if the Commission supported keeping the eight second rule. <br /> <br />The Commission supported the City keeping the eight second standard. <br /> <br /> <br />6. Reports <br /> <br />A. Upcoming Planning Cases & Activity <br /> <br />Community Development Director Sevald discussed upcoming planning cases with the <br />Commission. He reported the Commission would be reviewing plans for the Caribou Cabin in <br />July. <br /> <br />B. Staff Updates <br /> <br />Community Development Director Sevald explained this was the last Zoom meeting that would <br />be held by the Planning Commission. He indicated the Planning Commission meeting scheduled <br />for July 7, 2021 will be held in-person at City Hall in the Council Chambers. <br /> <br />C. Council Updates <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause provided the Planning Commission with an update from the City <br />Council. He commented on the changes the Council was proposing to the food truck ordinance. <br />He noted the Council was discussing the establishment of a Sustainability Commission. He <br />explained the Council was also talking about a forgivable small business loan program for start- <br />up businesses in Mounds View. He indicated the EDA recently approved a Resolution of <br />Support for the use of TIF for an affordable senior housing complex on the Skyline Motel <br />property. He commented the Final Plat for the Belden River View single family home project <br />was approved by the Council. Further discussion ensued regarding conduit bonds. <br /> <br />D. Planning Commissioner Reports <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br /> <br />7. Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />May 5, 2021. <br />
