RESOLUTION NO.9453 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE 2019 MOUNDS VIEW <br />COACH OF THE YEAR JESSE OPINE <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Coach of the Year Award recognizes ordinary citizens <br />who have given unselfishly of their time by coaching Mounds View youth and are dedicated to <br />teaching sportsmanship and leadership skills to the youth of our community; and <br />WHEREAS, nominations were solicited from the public and pending recommendation <br />by the Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Commission; and <br />WHEREAS, Jesse Opine meets the outlined selection criteria; and <br />WHEREAS, Jesse Opine demonstrates exemplary sportsmanship both on and off the <br />field; and <br />WHEREAS, Jesse Opine made the game fun for the children, creating games, but also <br />teaching fundamentals; and <br />WHEREAS, Jesse Opine knew every child by name and greeted them at every <br />practice, and made them feel comfortable by playing name games which helped to create <br />friendships; and <br />WHEREAS, Jesse Opine was so devoted to his duties that he would bring his own <br />whistle to the games and help the young officials if they were overwhelmed; and <br />WHEREAS, Jesse Opine does not expect anything in return for his actions. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council does <br />hereby present the 2019 Mounds View Coach of the Year to Jesse Opine in sincere gratitude <br />and appreciation for his efforts as a Mounds View resident. <br />Adopted this 231d day of August, 2021. <br />Mayor Carol A.
