RESOLUTION 9474 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVAL FOR REPLACEMENT FURNITURE AT THE <br />MOUNDS VIEW COMMUNITY CENTER <br />WHEREAS, In 2010 the Community Center had the carpeting replaced, painting <br />of the common areas, Event Center and repainting on some of the common area furniture; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the furniture is over 20 years old and is in need of replacement. The <br />2021 budget approved by the Council includes replacement of the furniture; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff reviewed the Cooperative Purchasing Venture (CPV) Program <br />or "State Contract" and after reviewing found that either the contract did not provide the <br />type of furniture being considered or it was more expensive; and <br />WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation Staff obtained a proposal to replace the <br />furniture from i Space Environments for $25,183.30. <br />WHEREAS, Staff recommends the City Council approve the proposal from i Space <br />Environments of St. Anthony MN to replace the furniture at the Community Center at a <br />cost of $25,183.60 to be funded from account 480-4160-1230, Special Project Fund. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />Approves the proposal from i Space Environments of St. Anthony MN to <br />replace the furniture at the Community Center at a cost of $25,183.30 to be <br />funded from account 480-4160-1230, Special Project Fund. <br />2. The Director of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to execute all <br />appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by this <br />resolution. <br />3. The Mayor and City Administrator, Staff and consultants are hereby authorized <br />and directed to take any and all additional steps and actions necessary or <br />convenient in order to accomplish the intent of this Resolution. <br />Adopted this 27th day of September, 2021 <br />ATTEST: <br />(Seal) <br />M�ueller, <br />Carol A.
