Mounds View City Council September 13, 2021 <br />Regular Meeting Page 10 <br /> <br />ROLL CALL: Bergeron/Cermak/Hull/Meehlhause/Mueller. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />F. Resolution 9469, Adoption of the 2040 Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Sevald requested the Council adopt the 2040 Comprehensive <br />Plan. He explained staff has been working on this document for some time now and was proud to <br />have it before the Council for final approval. He indicated the Comprehensive Plan was a 20-year <br />guiding document for the City to decide how to use its land and water. He commented further on <br />the Comprehensive Plan and recommended approval. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Hull/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9469, <br />Adoption of the 2040 Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />9. REPORTS <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Hull thanked City Administrator Zikmund on his efforts on the Spring Lake Road <br />issue. City Administrator Zikmund extended his thanks to Public Works Director Peterson for all <br />of his efforts as well. <br /> <br />Council Member Cermak reported the Mounds View Police Foundation would meet on Tuesday, <br />September 14 at Random Park at 4:30 p.m. to discuss the fundraising efforts from Festival in the <br />Park. <br /> <br />Council Member Cermak explained she does not have children in the school system anymore. <br />However, she still saves her Loaves for Learning to assist Pinewood Elementary and encouraged <br />other residents to do the same. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause reported he attended the Guns and Hoses softball game and thanked <br />all of the residents who attended this event. He noted the final score for this game was fire <br />department-10 and the police department-21. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause updated the Council on the meetings he would be attending for <br />NYFS and Twin Cities Gateway in the coming weeks. He noted the Community Resource Fair <br />would be held at the Community Center on Saturday, September 18 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause explained he attended the Mounds View Business Council meeting <br />last Wednesday and provided the Council with an overview of the matters discussed. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller stated last Friday she attended a Zoom panel discussion with the Ramsey County <br />League of Local Government with NAMI.
