RESOLUTION NO 9458 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />ANNUAL POLLING PLACE DESIGNATIONS FOR 2021 and 2022 <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 20413.16, subd 1 requires the City Council, by <br />ordinance or resolution, to designate polling places for the upcoming year; and <br />WHEREAS, changes to the polling place locations may be made at least 90 days <br />before the next election if one or more of the authorized polling places becomes <br />unavailable for use; and <br />WHEREAS, changes to the polling place locations may be made in the case of an <br />emergency when it is necessary to ensure a safe and secure location for voting. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council <br />hereby designates the following polling place for elections conducted in the City in 2021 <br />and 2022: <br />Precincts 1,2,3,4 Mounds View Community Center <br />5394 Edgewood Drive, Mounds View MN 55112 <br />AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Administrator or their designee <br />is hereby authorized to designate a replacement meeting the requirements of the <br />Minnesota Election Law for any polling place designated in this Resolution that becomes <br />unavailable for use by the City; <br />AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Administrator or their designee <br />is hereby authorized to designate an emergency replacement polling place meeting the <br />requirements of the Minnesota Election Law for any polling place designated in this <br />Resolution when necessary to ensure a safe and secure location for voting; <br />AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Administrator or their designee <br />is directed to send a copy of this Resolution and any subsequent polling place <br />designations to the Ramsey County Elections Office. <br />Adopted this 23rd Of August, 2021. <br />Carol A.
