RESOLUTION NO. 9454 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE 2020 MOUNDS VIEW <br />COACH OF THE YEAR LEXI JORGENSON <br />WHEREAS, the Mounds View Coach of the Year Award recognizes ordinary citizens <br />who have given unselfishly of their time by coaching Mounds View youth and are dedicated to <br />teaching sportsmanship and leadership skills to the youth of our community; and <br />WHEREAS, nominations were solicited from the public and pending recommendation <br />by the Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Commission; and <br />WHEREAS, Lexi Jorgenson meets the outlined selection criteria; and <br />WHEREAS, Lexi Jorgenson demonstrates exemplary sportsmanship both on and off <br />the field; and <br />WHEREAS, Lexi Jorgenson went above and beyond making the kids feel comfortable <br />with playing soccer, while having fun. She always came to practice or games with a positive, <br />cheerful attitude; and <br />WHEREAS, Lexi Jorgenson taught the kids skills while making it fun for them and <br />keeping them engaged; and <br />WHEREAS, there were many kids on the team that had no previous soccer experience <br />and they walked away with not only new soccer skills, but also an appreciation for teamwork; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Lexi Jorgenson does not expect anything in return for her actions. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council does <br />hereby present the 2020 Mounds View Coach of the Year to Lexi Jorgenson in sincere <br />gratitude and appreciation for her efforts as a Mounds View resident. <br />Adopted this 23rd day of August, 2021. <br />Mayor Carol A.
