Bronson Drive residents who spoke
28:08 Gretchen Crowder 3001 Bronson Drive — One of my concerns, and in 40 years I have never had
water in my basement and I have a concern that all this fiddling around with the streets and the
sidewalk my put water in my basement?
DP — I can tell you that any of the designs, street designs, we cannot shed water back into private
property. Water from the street or sidewalk it has to shed or drain into the cities infrastructure. 29:00
46:28 Bill Crowder 3001 Bronson Drive I am an avowed tree hugger, I love our trees. I remember
when I first moved to Mounds View in 1977 one of the first things I did was I climbed my great big White
Pine tree and sat out there and watched the tree sway back and forth and I look at all the trees in our
neighborhood and how lucky we are that we didn't buy a piece of property up in Ham Lake that was a
beautiful house but we had a twig in our front yard. I've got a forest in my yard, you look at my property
from the east — Spring Lake Road and Bronson Drive you can't see my house because of the foliage and I
would like to maintain that. I think it's environmentally sound that we have trees providing us with
oxygen and shade, climbing materials, I enjoy climbing my tree and I am very fortunate to live in
Mounds View and I would like to keep it as it is. And whatever project you decide, if its curb and gutter
or sidewalk also, I would like to see a minimization of cutting down of trees. That's all I am going to say.
47:54
15
