d <br />Petition to Keep Existing Single Mailboxes Page 1 of 3 <br />We, the undersigned residents and neighbors of 82dto 8400s Pleasant View Drive in the City of Mounds View, <br />Minnesota, voice our strong objection to attempts to eliminate curbside delivery of mail to our individual postal <br />mailboxes in accordance to the plans from the Street Rehab Project meeting of August 25, 2021. <br />We would like the complete 16 street of Pleasant View Drive with individual residential mailboxes instead of <br />four cluster box units on one mailbox stand. <br />We would like to maintain existing aesthetics for resale value and continuity. We feel mailboxes need to be put in <br />front of the houses so that we can utilize them and not installed in front of one residence. Retrieving mail from a <br />distance at night (early darkness in the winter months of 4:30pm to 5:00 pm) or inclement weather(WINTER) can <br />be dangerous and difficult. <br />Further, we feel that the safety and security of our families is compromised by requiring postal customers to leave <br />their property to acquire a service that is the basic function of the United States Postal Service to provide. <br />We strongly object to the requirement of any cluster box mail delivery. Cluster box delivery of mail is unsightly, <br />unwanted, and unsafe.
