RESOLUTION 9482 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AUTHORIZING A JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT FOR GROUP EMPLOYEE BENEFITS <br />AND OTHER FINANCIAL AND RISK MANAGEMENT SERVICES WITH NATIONAL JOINT <br />POWERS ALLIANCE (SOURCEWELL) <br />WHEREAS, the City is required by statute to market every five years for health insurance; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City's insurance broker, North Risk Partners, presented staff with six <br />health insurance bids for plan year 2022; and <br />WHEREAS, City staff compared services and rates, and selected Group Employee <br />Benefits through Sourcewell, which requires the Mayor and City Administrator to sign the Joint <br />Powers Agreement for Group Employee Benefits and Other Financial and Risk Management <br />Services in order to be included into the group effective January 1, 2022. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council does hereby <br />authorize a Joint Powers Agreement for Group Employee Benefits and Other Financial and Risk <br />Management Service with National Joint Powers Alliance (Sourcewell). <br />Adopted this 25th day of October, 2021. <br />Carol A.
