20 Mounds View - Administration <br />Commission shall have power to make such rules and including one of the following areas: economics; <br />regulations pursuant to delegated authority as it deems finance; accounting; real estate; social services; and <br />necessary for the purpose of performing its duties as marketing. For the purpose of initiating the <br />herein set forth. Commission, the terms of all members shall expire <br />(Prior Code, § 405.09) 12-31-1994. <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br />§ 33.080 ESTABLISHMENT. <br />The Economic Development Commission is <br />hereby established. The Economic Development <br />Commission is referred to herein as the <br />"Commission". <br />(prior Code, § 408.01) (Ord. 542, passed <br />06-27-1994) <br />§ 33.081 PURPOSE. <br />The Commission shall serve as an advisory <br />commission to the Economic Development Authority, <br />hereinafter the "Authority", on matters relating to <br />fostering a positive economic climate, encouraging <br />economic development and enhancing the tax base of <br />the city. The Commission shall also make <br />recommendations to the Authority regarding retention <br />and expansion of existing businesses, attraction of <br />desirable new businesses, redevelopment and <br />rehabilitation opportunities and other appropriate <br />economic development strategies. <br />(Prior Code, § 408.02) (Ord. 542, passed <br />06-27-1994) <br />§ 33.082 COMPOSITION; MEMBERS; <br />QUALIFICATIONS; TERMS OF OFFICE. <br />(A) The Commission shall be composed of seven <br />equal voting members, including three business <br />representatives and four residents, appointed by the <br />Authority Board of Commissioners based on the <br />recommendation of the Economic Development <br />Commission, from the applications submitted. <br />Members shall have diverse qualifications with <br />practical experience consisting of, not limited to, but <br />(B) Beginning January 1995, three members <br />11 tucr ... ♦.ter bee hall CPYI IP <br />Sllall Serve a Vne-yeal LGllll, LYY 1ile11LU is shall ova 11 <br />two-year terms and two members shall serve <br />three-year terms_ Thereafter, members shall serve <br />three-year staggered terms, with terms expiring <br />December 31 of each year. At least two of these <br />terms, but not more than three terms, shall expire <br />each year. The appointees shall be duly sworn and <br />take office at the first regular meeting of the <br />Commission in the month of January each year.
