RESOLUTION NO. 9494 CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW COUNTY OF RAMSEY STATE OF MINNESOTA RESOLUTION APPROVING A PREMISES PERMIT FOR ANDOVER FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION TO CONDUCT CHARITABLE GAMBLING AT MERMAID EVENT AND ENTERTAINMENT CENTER, 2200 MOUNDS VIEW BOULEVARD WHEREAS, Andover Football Association, Inc. has requested Council approval for a premises permit to conduct charitable gambling at Mermaid Event and Entertainment Center; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Mounds View to assist in the economic prosperity of local business owners; and WHEREAS, the Gambling Control Board requires that the local unit of government pass a resolution specifically approving or denying a request to conduct charitable gambling; and WHEREAS, the Andover Football Association, Inc. shall file a report to the City of Mounds View on an annual basis proving compliance with the trade area spending requirements specified in the Mounds View City Code; and WHEREAS, the Andover Football Association shall contribute 10 percent of its net profits derived from lawful gambling in the city to a fund administered and regulated by the city with payment made annually on or before March 1 for the prior calendar year; and WHEREAS, the Andover Football Association, Inc. must maintain compliance with all requirements of the Mounds View City Code, Chapter 111, with regard to charitable gambling regulations. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council does hereby approve a premises permit for the Andover Football Association, Inc. to conduct charitable gambling at Mermaid Event and Entertainment Center, 2200 Mounds View Boulevard in the City of Mounds View. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this permit may be revoked or suspended for a violation by Andover Football Association, Inc. of any state statute, state rule, or City ordinance relating to gambling.
