RESOLUTION NO 9500 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AUTHORIZING RECRUITMENT PROCESS FOR <br />POLICE OFFICER POSITION <br />WHEREAS, a vacancy is opening in the Police Department due to a <br />separation effective December 9, 2021; and <br />WHEREAS, a need exists to advertise for a full-time, non-exempt Police <br />Officer position under the City of Mounds View and the Law Enforcement Labor <br />Services, Inc. Labor Agreement; and <br />WHEREAS, the recruitment cycle for a Police Officer position may take <br />approximately three months; and <br />WHEREAS, the position is estimated to start in February of 2022; and <br />WHEREAS, flexibility will be granted with regards to the recruitment process <br />in order to allow accelerated or additional compensation to experienced officers; and <br />WHEREAS, the suggested pay range for the Police Officer position is as <br />follows: <br />Year 2022 <br />Start 70% 1 Year 80% 2 Year 90% 3 Year 100% <br />$28.74 $32.85 $36.95 $41.06 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />authorizes Staff to advertise for the upcoming vacancy for the Police Officer position. <br />Adopted this 22nd day of November, 2021. <br />Carol A.
