MOU-N-DitSVIEW <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />Item No: 08H <br />Meeting Date: November 22, 2021 <br />Type of Business: Council Business <br />City Administrator Review: <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Nyle Zikmund, City Administrator <br />Item Title/Subject: Resolution 9493, Approving Appointments to the City of <br />Mounds View's Boards, Commissions, and Committees <br />Introduction: <br />The Parks, Recreation and Forestry Commission and the Planning Commission have <br />term seats that will expire on December 31, 2021 <br />Discussion: <br />Economic Development Commission (Four Seats Open) <br />As a reminder, the Economic Development Commission will approve their own <br />appointments by resolution at their November 18, 2021, meeting. <br />Parks, Recreation and Forestry Commission (Three Seats Open) <br />Staff received four applications for the Parks, Recreation and Forestry Commission: Kris <br />Lillemo, Dan Mueller, Janelle Nelson and Marsha Anderson <br />Dan, Janelle and Marsha are currently not serving on a city commission. <br />Kris is seeking reappointment as he is already serving on the Parks, Recreation and <br />Forestry Commission. <br />The Parks, Recreation and Forestry Commission met October 28, 2021, and <br />recommends that the City Council reappoint Kris Lillemo and appoint Janelle Nelson <br />and Marsha Anderson for new terms to the Mounds View Parks, Recreation and <br />Forestry Department. <br />All three terms will expire December 31, 2024. <br />Planning Commission: (Three Seat Open) <br />Staff received five applications for the Planning Commission: Jason French, Danny <br />Nelson, Marsha Anderson, Janelle Nelson and Marcus Curtis. <br />Marsha, Janelle and Marcus are currently not serving on a city commission. <br />
