Second Reading and Adoption of Ordinance 986, an Ordinance Amending <br />Title XI, Chapter 118, Relating to Cigarettes and Tobacco Products. <br /> <br />City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council adopt an Ordinance amending Title XI, <br />Chapter 118 relating to cigarettes and tobacco products. He explained the Council first discussed <br />this matter at a workshop meeting and the first reading was held two weeks ago. Staff noted this <br />ordinance amendment addressed the retail sale of tobacco products via delivery. He reported the <br />City Attorney had reviewed this Ordinance and noted the proposed language strengthens the City’s <br />standing. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Hull/Cermak. To Waive the Second Reading and Adopt Ordinance 986, an <br />Ordinance Amending Title XI, Chapter 118, Relating to Cigarettes and Tobacco Products. <br /> <br />A roll call vote was taken. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />B. Introduction and First Reading of Ordinance 987, Deleting Title XI, Chapter <br />111, Sections 111.20 through 111.030, Amusement Devices and Centers. <br /> <br />City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council introduce an Ordinance that would delete Title <br />XI, Chapter 111, Sections 111.20 through 111.030 relating to amusement devices and centers. He <br />explained amusement devices were regulated by the State, which meant the City did not need <br />language within City Code. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Hull. To Waive the First Reading and Introduce Ordinance <br />987, Deleting Title XI, Chapter 111, Sections 111.20 through 111.030, Amusement Devices and <br />Centers.
