Mounds View City Council March 14, 2022 <br />Regular Meeting Page 11 <br />1 discussed the work that would be needed to the repair the catering kitchen estimating the cost will <br />2 be $62,642.15. He noted he would be bringing this item back to the Council for approval, and <br />3 noted the contractor would work to bring the number down. <br />4 <br />5 Mayor Mueller asked if the fire sprinkler lines were monitored. Public Works/Parks and <br />6 Recreation Director Peterson reported they were monitored and that was how the City was notified <br />7 of the leak. <br />8 <br />9 Council Member Cermak questioned if the City had insurance in place to pay the City back for the <br />10 extensive damage that occurred at the Community Center. Public Works/Parks and Recreation <br />11 Director Peterson stated the City might hit it's deductible between the two emergencies. <br />12 <br />13 Human Resources Director Ewald reported the City would be holding a Town Hall meeting on <br />14 Monday, April 18 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. She explained she had Citizen of the Year <br />15 nomination forms for the Council to consider. <br />16 <br />17 Mayor Mueller reported the Mounds View Police Department had a new addition, K9 Officer Ace. <br />18 He noted K9 Officer Ace would be attending training with Police Officer Aase. Human Resources <br />19 Director Ewald explained Officer Nina Katzenmaier also started with the Police Department today <br />20 which meant the Mounds View Police Department was fully staffed. <br />21 <br />22 C. Reports of City Attorney. <br />23 <br />24 City Attorney Riggs had nothing additional to report. <br />25 <br />26 10.
