RESOLUTION 9564 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AUTHORIZE EMERGENCY SANITARY SEWER LINE REPAIRS - CIPP <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Staff on Friday March 4, Public Works received a call <br />from Ramsey County Dispatch of a possible sewer back up located at 2510 Ridge Lane; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Staff worked to open the sanitary sewer system and quickly <br />determined that the sewer line had been damaged and was allowing sand to enter the <br />system; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff contacted Perkins Contracting to perform the needed repairs to <br />the sanitary sewer line; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff also determined that the sewer line would need to be lined <br />(installing CIPP) <br />WHEREAS, the funding for these repairs is budgeted in the Sanitary Sewer fund, <br />730-4823-7050, which includes $500,000.00 for the sewer pipe re -lining program. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. The City hereby approves the quote from Granite Inliner of Hugo, MN, for the <br />emergency lining (CIPP) of the Sanitary Sewer Main line on Long Lake Road <br />in the City of Mounds View for $39,360.00 . <br />2. The City hereby approves the quote from Perkins Contracting for the <br />emergency excavating and needed repairs for the sanitary sewer line on Long <br />Lake Road for $75,000.00 <br />3. The City hereby approves the cost of dewatering and bypass pumping from <br />Blake Dewatering at a cost estimated at $20,000.00. <br />4. The Director of Public Works/Parks and Recreation is authorized to make <br />approvals related to contract modifications during the repairs to the Sanitary <br />Sewer Line on Long Lake Road as per the Purchasing Policy <br />5. Funding will be from the Sanitary Sewer Fund, 730-4823-7050. <br />6. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to <br />execute all appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by <br />this resolution. <br />The Mounds View Vision <br />.4 Thriving Desirable Community <br />
