RESOLUTION 9574 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />AUTHORIZATION TO REPLACE THE CARPETING AT THE COMMUNITY CENTER <br />WHEREAS, the Community Center carpeting was replaced in 2010 with a remodel of <br />the facility and is need of replacing; and <br />WHEREAS, the 2022 Budget includes funds for carpet replacement; and <br />WHEREAS, The Community Center is a heavily used facility; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff received the following proposals: <br />K D Flooring $72,737.00 <br />Cap Carpet $86,011.00 <br />Hauglie's Flooring $94,902.49 <br />WHEREAS, Staff has discussed the project with the City Administrator and the Finance <br />Director regarding the carpet costs/options; and <br />WHEREAS, the increase in costs between the vendors is because the carpet <br />recommended by Hauglie's is an industrial style of carpet and would out -perform the basic <br />carpets; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff recommends the City Council approve the proposal from Hauglies of <br />Blaine, MN to replace the carpet in the Community Center for a cost of $94,902.49. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds View, <br />Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br />1. Accepts the Proposal from Hauglie's of Blaine, MN, for carpeting in the amount of <br />$94,902.49. <br />2. Funding exists in the Special Project Fund, account 480-4180-7050 for this project. <br />The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to execute all <br />appropriate documents to effectuate the actions contemplated by this resolution. <br />4.
