Mounds View City Council March 14, 2022 <br />Regular Meeting Page 2 <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Hull/Bergeron. To Approve the Consent Agenda as presented. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />6. PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />Rosemary Lensing, 8310 Pleasant View Drive, expressed concern about the agenda tonight, noting <br />the City Administrator told her the street rehab item was going to be on the agenda. She reported <br />she received a notification but her neighbors had not. She requested that she be allowed to speak <br />under Item 8D, along with her neighbors. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller reported she would allow this under Item 8D. <br /> <br />7. SPECIAL ORDER OF BUSINESS <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />8. COUNCIL BUSINESS <br />A. Resolution 9560, Reestablish Precincts and Polling Places. <br /> <br />Human Resources Director Ewald requested the Council adopt a Resolution that would reestablish <br />precincts and polling places in the City of Mounds View. She reviewed the redistricting <br />information noting all four precincts would continue voting at the Community Center. She <br />discussed how the House and Senate seats had changed within the community and noted this was <br />due to the results of the Census 2020. <br /> <br />Council Member Bergeron questioned if the County Commissioners seats would change. Human <br />Resources Director Ewald reported she would investigate this further, but explained she had the <br />understanding no changes were made by the County as of the report date. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Bergeron. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9560, <br />Reestablish Precincts and Polling Places. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />B. Public Hearing: First Reading and Introduction of Ordinance 988, Amending <br />City Code Chapter 161 related to Dynamic Displays. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Beeman requested the Council introduce an ordinance that would <br />amend City Code Chapter 161 related to dynamic display signs. He explained the Council recently <br />discussed this topic at a worksession meeting and the Planning Commission recommended the <br />ordinance be amended. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller opened the public hearing at 7:04 p.m. <br /> <br />Hearing no public input, Mayor Mueller closed the public hearing at 7:05 p.m.
