RESOLUTION NO.9588 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING OR DENYING DRIVEWAY VARIANCES <br />RELATED TO THE 2022 STREET PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the City will reconstruct streets in Area J in 2022; and, <br />WHEREAS, Mounds View City Code §160.338(E) (Curb cut widths) states; "In <br />conjunction with street improvement projects or in conjunction with individual driveway <br />replacement projects, non -conforming curb cuts shall be made conforming to whatever <br />extent practicable. If, in the opinion of the Directors of Public Works/Parks and <br />Recreation and Community Development, a non -conforming curb cut cannot be made <br />conforming without undue hardship or disruption to the property, the curb cut may <br />remain in existence, unchanged. Decisions regarding curb cuts may be appealed in <br />writing to the City Council." <br />WHEREAS, on August 19, 2021, April 8, 2022, and April 11, 2022, City Staff <br />mailed a notice to property owners of non -conforming driveways, including the City's <br />intent to reinstall curb cuts to be conforming to City Code. The April letters included a <br />deadline of May 2, 2002 to apply for a Variance; and, <br />WHEREAS, one Variance application was received (8310 Pleasant View Drive); <br />and, <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Mounds View City Council <br />has reviewed appeals submitted by property owners, and takes the following action: <br />Address Property Owner Request Approved Denied <br />8310 Pleasant View Dr I Rosemary Lensing Kee 30' wide driveway <br />8320 Pleasant View Dr Mumtaz & Shamim Keep setback less than 5' / <br />Sabur V <br />Adopted this 9th day of May 2022. <br />Carol A.
