Mounds View EDA April 11, 2022 <br />Regular Meeting Page 2 <br /> <br />Development Agreement and Conveyance of Property located in Mounds <br />View, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Beeman requested the Council approve the Purchase and <br />Development Agreements and conveyance of property in the City. He reported the EDA owns a <br />lot adjacent to the Simon’s property (7861 Groveland Road) that was being developed by a local <br />dentist. He stated in order to sell EDA owned property a public hearing must be held first. Staff <br />recommended the EDA hold a public hearing and approve the sale of the property. <br /> <br />President Mueller opened the public hearing 6:40 p.m. <br /> <br />There being no comments from the public, President Mueller closed the public hearing at 6:40 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />Commissioner Meehlhause discussed the history of this property. <br /> <br />Commissioner Cermak arrived at the meeting at 6:42 p.m. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Hull/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 22-EDA- <br />355 Approving a Purchase and Development Agreement and Conveyance of Property located in <br />Mounds View, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Commissioner Bergeron indicated the EDA has been planning for this property and the Mounds <br />View Boulevard corridor for quite some time. <br /> <br />President Mueller commented the sale of this property would assist a local business with remaining <br />in the community as it has grown, flourished and was in need of more space. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />7.
