Mounds View City Council May 9, 2022 <br />Regular Meeting Page 7 <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated he would be attending a Twin Cities Gateway board meeting <br />on Tuesday, May 17. He explained he would be attending an NYFS Finance meeting on <br />Wednesday, May 18. <br /> <br />Council Member Bergeron reported he would be attending a Nine North Cable Commission <br />meeting on Thursday, May 19. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mueller stated she attended the eight cities mayor and managers meeting today with City <br />Administrator Zikmund. She noted the group discussed how they have rebounded from the <br />pandemic and commented on the housing projects that were underway. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller noted she would be attending a Ramsey County Dispatch Committee meeting on <br />Tuesday, May 17. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller commented she would be attending the Festival in the Park Committee meeting on <br />Tuesday, May 17 at the Public Works Facility at 7:30 p.m. She encouraged those interested in <br />serving the community to consider attending this meeting. <br /> <br />Mayor Mueller stated on Friday, May 20 she would be attending a Minnesota Women in City <br />Government meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause reported a retirement celebration would be held for long -time <br />Shoreview City Manager Terry Schwerm on Wednesday, May 18 at the Shoreview Community <br />Center from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> B. Reports of Staff. <br /> <br />Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson discussed the repairs that occurred at the <br />Community Center kitchen noting costs came in at $5,500 versus the original estimate of $60,000. <br /> <br />Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson reported public works crews were street <br />sweeping at this time. <br /> <br />Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson commented a change order for Well No. 4 <br />would be coming to the Council at an upcoming meeting. <br /> <br />Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson explained he was still in need of seasonal <br />park and recreation workers and those interest ed were encouraged to speak with Andy at the <br />Community Center. <br /> <br />Finance Director Beer stated the Council would be discussing the 2023 General Fund Budget at <br />the June worksession meeting. <br /> <br />City Administrator Zikmund commented further on the items that would be discussed at the June <br />worksession meeting. <br />
