Benefits to Consider <br />Regular Part Time Staff Working 20+ hours/Week <br />Vacation accumulation — prorated based on hours hired to work (20/week, etc.) <br />Holiday schedule (if employee scheduled to work on holiday) plus floating holidays - <br />prorated based on scheduled hours <br />Sick Leave accumulation — prorated based on hours hired to work (20/week, etc.) <br />Our benefits package is offered to staff who work 30 hours/week. Does Council wish to <br />consider employees who work 20 hours/week. Health/dental coverage has been <br />requested by a couple employees. <br />IF VACATION ACCUMULATION APPROVED: <br />The Executive Assistant was rehired with per Resolution 8820 on August 28, 2017. Per <br />Res 8820, the 4th WHEREAS indicated 8 hours of personal leave would accumulate for <br />every 240 hours worked. <br />According to the Personnel Manual, Section 1.02 Hiring Practices: <br />K. EMPLOYMENT OF FORMER EMPLOYEES — <br />VACATION SCHEDULE <br />Former employees who are rehired by the City within two (2) <br />years or their separation from the City will continue on the <br />vacation schedule at the point of their departure. If over two <br />(2) years, consideration will be given as part of the <br />negotiation process. <br />Recommendation, if approve vacation accumulation for Part -Time staff, discuss making <br />retro-active for Barb to date of rehire (termination and rehire less than one year of <br />service). <br />Benefits to Consider <br />Regular Part Time Staff — Any Hours/Week <br />Step Increases — Same Pay Plan as full time staff, based accordingly to PT wages <br />Performance evaluations — 90 days; 6 months; annual reviews <br />COLA —January 1st Done 1/1/2022 <br />
