The <br />68,500-square foot facility had a cost of $11.8 million. Funding came <br />through public and private partnerships, and half was funded through private <br />donations held in a provisional fund at the Greater Salina Community <br />Foundation. <br />The facility contains six basketball courts, three of which are hardwood and <br />three are synthetic turf. The courts can be converted to eight volleyball <br />courts or six futsal courts. The facility also has a 21,000-square foot indoor <br />turf space that can accommodate soccer, football, kickball, baseball, softball <br />and field hockey, as well as drop -down batting cages and pitching tunnels. <br />Additionally, the complex has a spacious entrance, lobby, team gathering <br />areas, a concession area and a landscaping with featured art elements. <br />The fieldhouse mainly hosts Parks and Recreation programming, as well as <br />clubs, teams and organizations, and is capable of hosting a variety of <br />athletic events such as league play, tournaments, team practices, camps <br />and clinics. <br />Court rentals are available for $30/court/hour for practices, and <br />$40/court/hour for events. Turf rental is also available at a rate of $35/one- <br />third of the field/hour before 5:30pm, and $45/one-third of the field/hour <br />after 5:30pm and on weekends.
