MOUNDS VIEW <br />City of Mounds View Staff Report <br />Item No: 8C <br />Meeting Date: February 28, 2022 <br />Type of Business: CB <br />Administrator Review: <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Don Peterson, Director of Public Works/Parks and Recreation <br />Item Title/Subject: Resolution 9555, Approving the Final Payment for the 2021 <br />Sanitary Sewer Line Rehabilitation Project <br />Background: <br />Granite Inliner LLC, submitted the lowest responsible bid and was awarded construction for <br />the 2021 Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project-CIPP. Granite Inliner performed construction <br />for the project during fall 2021, and was substantially complete on December 15, 2021 — the <br />date that the one-year warrantee period begins. <br />A punch list was prepared after substantial completion in reviewing all post liner videos <br />before project close-out. Granite Inliner LLC, completed these items and has met all <br />requirements of the contract documents in a satisfactory manner. <br />The City has been withholding final payment to Granite Inliner pending completion of the <br />punch list and other close-out requirements. The following is a summary of the final <br />construction costs: <br />The remaining payment amount owed to Granite Inliner is for $49,999.55 <br />The City Council is being asked to approve the final payment to Granite Inliner LLC, in the <br />amount of $49,999.95 <br />Recommendation: <br />Public Works (and Stantec Consulting Services) recommend the Council adopt the attached <br />Resolution to accept the construction work and final payment of $49,999.95 for the 2021 <br />Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project-CIPP.
