Public Works/Parks and <br />Recreation Director Peterson discussed the maintenance that had to occur on Well No. 4. <br />Council Member Meehlhause asked if staff knew why the bids varied so greatly. Public <br />Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson commented on the bids and indicated perhaps <br />Mineral Services Plus wanted to get into this market and therefore provided the City with the low <br />bid. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Bergeron/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution <br />9556, Accepting Bids and Awarding a Contract to Mineral Services Plus LLC for Municipal <br />Well No. 3 Rehabilitation. <br />Council Member Bergeron discussed how vitally important it was for the City to maintain its <br />infrastructure which included wells, pumps, pipes and furnaces. He thanked staff for bringing <br />this item to the City Council and for staying ahead of these issues. <br />Ayes — 4 Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />E. Resolution 9557, Appointing Chair for the Parks, Recreation and Forestry <br />Commission for the Calendar Year of 2022. <br />Public Works/Parks and Recreation Director Peterson requested the Council appoint the Chair <br />for the Parks, Recreation and Forestry Commission for calendar year 2022. He noted the <br />Commission recommended Gerald Arel and staff supports this recommendation. <br />Mayor Mueller thanked Commissioner Arel for his tremendous service to the City of Mounds <br />View. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Meehlhause. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9557, <br />Appointing Chair for the Parks, Recreation and Forestry Commission for the Calendar Year of <br />2022. <br />Council Member Meehlhause thanked Commissioner Arel for his dedicated service to the City <br />and the Parks Commission. <br />Ayes — 4 Nays — 0 Motion carried. <br />9. REPORTS <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br />Council Member Meehlhause reported the NYFS Executive Director Search Committee met last <br />Friday with their consultant. He stated on March 9 the Committee will review the candidate list <br />to determine who will be brought forward for the first round of interviews. <br />
