2022 2nd Quarter Report —Neighborhood Resource Officer <br />As of June 27th Officer Le Voir transitioned into the full time role of Neighborhood Resource <br />Officer from overnight patrol. During the second Quarter Officer Le Voir assisted in field training <br />the newest Patrol Officer during phase 2 and shadow. Officer Le Voir has begun learning the <br />duties and tasks for predatory offender registration from Investigators, with the goal of having <br />that be the responsibility of the NRO position. Officer Le Voir also attended a 40 hour training <br />hosted by the Minnesota Crime Prevention Association regarding Crime Prevention Through <br />Environmental Design. The CPTED certification Officer Le Voir received will greatly assist with <br />safety premise surveys offered to residents. <br />The NRO continues to work with rental properties participating in Crime Free Multi Housing. <br />During the 2"d Quarter New Brighton Department of Public Safety hosted the quarterly <br />meeting. Several property managers from Mounds View attended and a specialist from Ramsey <br />County Environmental Health gave a presentation focused on hoarding. 5 first strike letters <br />were issued by the NRO. No second strikes have been needed thus far. The NRO maintained <br />regular communication with property managers in regards to police calls for service, and <br />providing copies of reports. The NRO will continue to work with Code Enforcement on property <br />issues around the city. <br />The NRO has continued working with Northeast Youth and Family Services to provide assistance <br />for residents in need of mental health counseling and community support services. This quarter <br />the NRO worked with NNYFS on 4 cases including mental health support, financial support and <br />housing support. <br />Community events have increased in the past quarter. The NRO was able to attend the <br />Sunnyside Elementary School carnival, and the MVPD was able to bring the rock wall to the <br />Pinewood Elementary School Carnival. The NRO also attended a career fair at Spring Lake Park <br />High school with the help of an MVPD Reserve Officer. Officers through the department <br />participated in the Law Enforcement Torch run to assist in raising money for the Special <br />Olympics. The NRO also continues to work with Officer Dison in her position as the Colonial <br />Village liaison. Officers continue to host Coffee with a Cop. In addition, Officers put on Mounds <br />View's first bicycle rodeo. Children aged 6-14 attended the event and learned about Bicycle <br />safety, participated in an obstacle course, and were each presented with a custom bicycle <br />driver's license. <br />Current and relevant information continues to be posted on Nextdoor.com, Twitter, and <br />Instagram. NRO regularly checks social media accounts to answer any questions or comments <br />necessary. <br />
