i+r u1E GRIME v; iIHEEY(111 !liii Mounds View / Ramsey County VCET Cases During the Second Quarter of 2022, the Mounds View VCET Investigator conducted numerous narcotic investigations which led t❑ substantial seizures of narcotics, weapons, and US Currency in which some are detailed below. Some of these investigations are currently ongoing involving undercover officers therefore not all of the details can be disclosed at this time. In April 2022, Undercover Officers conducted Controlled -Buy purchases of pound level quantities of methamphetamine. Through the investigation, many suspects, vehicles, and stash houses were identified in the Twin Cities metro area. After learning that the main suspect recently traveled out of state for the purpose of obtaining large quantities of narcotics, a traffic stop was conducted in which numerous kilos of narcotics were discovered hidden inside a speaker inside the vehicle. Subsequent Search Warrants were executed on the stash houses in which more narcotics were found along with multiple firearms. Two individuals were arrested and remain in custody while their case proceeds through the Criminal Justice System. In April 2022, the Mounds View VCET Investigator was assigned a narcotic / weapons case in which the arrestee was found to be in possession of a "Ghost Gun" (Firearm without a serial number). The Mounds View VCET Investigator was familiar with the arrestee and knew he was believed to be recently involved in multiple drive -by shootings. The Mounds View VCET Investigator assisted the neighboring county with multiple Search Warrants which led to the confession of the arrestee as being the individual that pulled the trigger during the drive -by shootings. The arrestee was later charged with numerous felonies in multiple counties. In April 2022, Undercover Officers purchased pound level quantities of methamphetamine from a ❑rug Trafficking Organization in the Twin Cities metro area. After conducting numerous purchases and conducting surveillance, a Search Warrant was executed in which approximately 30 pounds of methamphetamine was recovered• In May 2022, the Mounds View VCET Investigator conducted a narcotic investigation into a pound level methamphetamine dealer in the Twin Cities metro area. After conducting surveillance and controlled buys, the suspected was arrested and found to be in possession of a
