COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> A. Authorize Staff to Allow for the Posting of Two Facilities Maintenance <br />Positions within the Parks and Recreation Department. <br /> <br />City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council make a motion to allow for the posting of two <br />facilities maintenance positions within the Parks and Recreation Department. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: Meehlhause/Hull. To Authorize Staff to Allow for the Posting of Two <br />Facilities Maintenance Positions within the Parks and Recreation Department. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 3 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br /> B. Resolution 9620, Authorizing Employee Health Benefits Pool Membership <br />Agreement and Bylaws. <br /> <br />City Administrator Zikmund requested the Council approve the Employee Health Benefits Poole <br />Membership Agreement and Bylaws due to a name change as Sourcewell has changed its name to <br />Better Health Collective. <br /> <br />MOTION/SECOND: /. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 9620, Authorizing <br />Employee Health Benefits Pool Membership Agreement and Bylaws. <br /> <br /> Ayes – 3 Nays – 0 Motion carried. <br /> <br />9. REPORTS <br />A. Reports of Mayor and Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Cermak reported the Police Foundation would be meeting on Tuesday, August <br />9 at Random Park at 5:30 p.m. She explained the group would be finalizing plans for Festival in <br />the Park. She stated on Saturday, August 13 the Police Foundation would be hosting a brat sale at <br />Von Hanson’s Meats in North Oaks from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Member Meehlhause stated he would be attending three convention bureau (Twin Cities <br />Gateway) meetings over the next two weeks. He commented on the Smith Travel Research Report <br />noting June was a great month for hotels in Mounds View as well as all member cities. He <br />explained Twin Cities Gateway had the highest occupancy rate in the Twin Cities, the State of <br />Minnesota, and throughout the entire United States for the month of June. He anticipated July <br />would be another great month for Twin Cities Gateway.
